My Dad and his buddy's of the 45th Infantry Division enroute to a landing in Italy, 1943. He always told me that his best buddy was killed in action the day they landed...I wonder which one of these men that was? Dad is seated right in picture at left and third from left in bottom photo. Soldier holding life preserver is unknown...
