While at Midland's Celebration of the Arts on Sunday, I was reminded that it was seven years ago at the COA that I purchased the painting above, which hangs on my fireplace. A lot of other things happened that weekend seven years ago....at least I still have the painting.

Mary Bingham, artist at left. Good artist, interesting person. Her grandfather, Hiram Bingham, discovered the fabulous Inca city, Machu Picchu and it is generally thought that he was one of the inspirations for the character of "Indiana Jones".
